The installation of an off-grid solar power system in rural southern Tasmania presented unique challenges, including harsh weather and a remote location with no existing infrastructure. Expert Energy Tasmania (EET) successfully designed and implemented a sustainable energy solution, providing the new home with reliable power while reducing environmental impact.
Client Objective
To provide reliable and sustainable energy for the Home while minimising environmental impact.

- The client had chosen a very remote part of the block for the build. The location had stunning views but high exposure.
- Harsh weather conditions.
- Need for a system that is efficient and reliable.
Expert Energy Tasmania (EET) designed and installed an off grid solar power system that met the client's needs. The system includes:
- 13kW solar array with 420w REC panels with a 25 year warranty
- 16kWh of PowerPlus (Australian made) Lithium battery storage with 10 year warranties
- 1 x German Sunny Island 8.0 offgrid Inverter with 10 year warranty
- 1 x Stiebel Eltron 302l Heat Pump Hot water system programmed to operate when the sun is shining, therefore becoming a 2nd thermal storage device.
