That lived experience is what led Scott into the solar industry more than 15 years ago as a university student — and why he never left. With a Master of Business from UTAS and extensive experience across grid-connected and off-grid systems, Scott founded Expert Energy Tasmania to help other Tasmanians take control of their energy in a way that’s practical, reliable and built to last.

As Trade Director, he oversees every installation to ensure it meets the highest standards of safety, compliance and workmanship, while mentoring apprentices and passing on his deep knowledge of solar design, hybrid systems and off-grid work.

With a background in hospitality, agriculture and small business ownership, Samara brings a deep understanding of people, service and teamwork to Expert Energy Tasmania. Alongside her Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting and her passion for sustainability, she works across both the trade and office teams to make sure every customer journey feels organised, professional and genuinely personal.
